Who will be teaching in 2010

Francine

francineHow do you describe your style of movement/ Dance.

The art of pole is graceful, elegant and filled with sensuality. A form of dance which centre’s on both upper and lower body strength pushing the limits of stamina, flexibility and core stability. It fails to discriminate allowing those without former training to participate. Along with an opening of self awareness, it also creates a level of achievement, confidence and decadence.

What do you want the students to feel in your class?

Students should prepare to open their own ability, to feel a discipline that commands respect and strength which also gives light towards the inner ability of reaching ones own pure confidence.

What do you focus on when you teach and what will they expect?

Focus will be on the technical basis of pole dance. Basic turns, spins and lifts and simple choreography.

How should the students be prepared for your class?
Clothing?
Thoughts?

Students should prepare arriving with an open mind, by not moisturising in order to adhere to the pole and by wearing shorts, t-shirt and runners for warm up and high heels for dancing.

What are your 3 favorite moments as an Artist/ Dancer/ Choreographer?

Favourite moments as a dancer for me have been those based on acheiving personal goals of complex moves and choreography. The fondest memories however, being that of observing students acheive what they previously believed to be the unacheivable.

If you could make a cool home video to put up on the website on your page for promo to your students, this will definitely ad personality to the festival and benefit your classes. (feel free to be creative)
