I would love to see some Indian dancing. John Arkan’s wife in Woolgoolga teaches some Indian dancing at the Bollywood markets once a fortnight(I think her first name might be Surinda?). Maybe you could get her to teach at the festival. They are simple fun dances that would be accessible to a wide range of dancers. I also think that it would be good to have some input from some local cultures.Utopian is a great festival!

Hi Trav, I dont think you can go past any of the former SYTYCD top 10 dancers, any that you can get that is! I think a big benifit with them is they bring a real freshness to the teaching, and it would also be a real drawcard having any of the SYTYCD names as teachers/performers! And Im assuming theyd also be cheaper than most of the big name choreographers! Also any of the choreographers from the show, like maybe that Travis guy! :) but seriously whoever is affordable and is innovative and creative. I really would actually like to see some of the male teachers that are currently teaching at Sydney Dance Co, go to the website and check out the timetable, the teachers there are about the highest calibre I have ever seen from casual drop in classes. I think to save money, ditch the internationals, we have far better talent right here in Australia! BOOYA!
